About The Project
The Greater Bay Area Make-A-Wish Foundation fulfills the wishes of children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 18 battling life-threatening medical conditions. While many know of the organization, few understand the work they do or the stories of the children who receive the wishes.
Argus lead communication efforts for the Greater Bay Area Make-A-Wish Foundation’s annual reports to communicate the organization’s amazing achievements, dispel myths and highlight those who made the wishes possible. Many view Make-A-Wish Foundation as the “last wish” for children and do not realize that many recover and go on to live healthy lives. Make-A-Wish Foundation provides a bright spot in what could often be a very trying time for the child and family. We worked within a set of visual brand guidelines used by all Make-A-Wish chapters, but still had the flexibility to develop a unique theme and message each year to communicate stories of local Bay-area Wish children. While we highlighted financial gifts and thanked donors, there was also the opportunity to talk about the people behind the wishes, the responsible stewardship of funds and the unique stories of each child. Stories were told both through traditional print pieces, as well as online.
