About The Project
Alta Torre is a senior housing facility located in a revitalized, multi-use community in Palo Alto, California adjacent to the Oshman Family Jewish Community Center.
The Alta Torre identity and exterior entry sign design were developed to capture the re-birth and positive growth of the area in which it is located. Lush vegetation surrounds the development, including Ash trees lining the property which are reflected in the design of the signage system. This motif creates contrast to the building’s modern and angular architecture. The main site identity sign blends natural leaf forms with concrete to integrate and accentuate the overall concept.
The extension of the Alta Torre identity to the interior ADA and wayfinding signs utilize natural materials such as bamboo, along with the leaf image to further compliment the angular architecture of the building, creating a balanced juxtaposition.
